Team

Harrold served as the Chief Executive Officer of Enovix Corporation since co-founding the company in 2007 until his retirement in 2023.  In that role, he led the fundraising, manufacturing and commercialization of Enovix’ proprietary high energy Si-Lithium battery with top tier customers in the consumer electronics markets. Under his leadership, Enovix became a publicly listed company in 2021 (NASDAQ: ENVX) and continues to be one of the most valuable new technology battery companies in the market.

Prior to Enovix, Harrold was Vice President of Operations at FormFactor, a leader in the design and production of 3D MEMS contact technology for semiconductor wafer testing. During his 5-year tenure, he led operations from development through pilot to high-volume manufacturing and helped set the stage for a successful IPO in 2003 (NASDAQ: FORM) and contributed to an 370% increase in annual revenue during his tenure.

Before FormFactor, Harrold spent 17 years in operations management at the IBM thin-film disk-drive head operations in San Jose, CA. He led a large engineering and manufacturing organization that continually met production goals while reducing costs by 50%. He also assumed financial plan responsibility for IBM’s global disk-drive head operations in Asia, Central America, and Europe.

Harrold earned a B.S. in mechanical engineering from U.C. Davis and an M.S. in mechanical engineering from Stanford University.

Ashok Lahiri is a co-founder and the Chief Technology Officer (CTO) of Enovix Corporation, a leading innovator in 3D Silicon Lithium-ion Rechargeable Batteries. Since co-founding the company in 2007, Ashok has been one of the primary architects behind Enovix’s patented 3D cell architecture and high-capacity silicon anode. Under his leadership, Enovix has built an intellectual property portfolio of over 100 patents, contributing to the development of the highest energy-density lithium-ion battery known today. His work spans architecture design, process development, testing, and performance evaluation, with a focus on safety and reliability.

Before founding Enovix, Ashok held the position of Senior Director of Engineering at FormFactor (2003–2007), where he improved the yield of complex 3D electromechanical devices on silicon substrates from near-zero to over 90%, helping drive the company’s revenue growth from $15 million to $120 million per quarter and contributing to a successful IPO.

Ashok’s career began at IBM, where he worked from 1983 to 2003. Over two decades, he took on roles of increasing responsibility, culminating in leading technology transfer and product development in IBM's hard disk-drive division. He helped pioneer the development of the first giant magnetoresistive (GMR) head, which doubled storage density and contributed to major advancements in data storage.

Ashok holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Chemical Engineering with high honors from the University of California, Berkeley. He has co-authored over 50 patents in battery technology, 3D architecture, electrochemistry, and precision machining.

Dr. Murali Ramasubramanian is a co-founder of Enovix Corporation (NASDAQ: ENVX) and led the company’s research and development from 2007 to 2023. During his tenure, Murali was instrumental in the invention of a groundbreaking 3D Silicon Anode Lithium-Ion Battery, which achieved some of the highest energy densities ever manufactured. His leadership guided the design of novel cell architectures, materials, and manufacturing techniques, positioning Enovix as a leader in battery innovation for consumer electronics and electric vehicles.

Prior to his work at Enovix, Murali brought his electrochemical engineering expertise to other high-impact industries. At FormFactor Inc., he developed advanced electroplating processes for MEMS structures, enabling more efficient semiconductor wafer testing. Earlier in his career, he worked at IBM Storage Systems Division and the IBM Thomas J. Watson Research Center, where he contributed to the development of new materials and processes that helped increase hard-disk drive storage density.

With over two decades of experience, Murali’s contributions to R&D and manufacturing scale-up are reflected in his extensive patent portfolio, co-inventing more than 100 issued patents in battery technology, MEMS fabrication, and electrochemical processes. He has also authored numerous peer-reviewed publications in the field.

Murali holds a Ph.D. in Chemical Engineering from the University of South Carolina and a B.S. in Chemical and Electrochemical Engineering from the Central Electrochemical Research Institute (CECRI) in India. His work continues to shape advancements in energy storage and electrochemical engineering.

Bob Busacca joined Enovix Corporation (NASDAQ: ENVX) in 2014 and led the engineering team until 2023.  In his role as VP of Engineering, Bob led the team that developed the automated Pilot Production Line and contributed key innovations integral to the performance of Enovix’s 3D Silicon Anode Lithium-Ion Battery. He holds numerous patents related to product, process, integration and manufacturing.

Prior to joining Enovix, as a Director at Freeslate and Symyx Technologies, he led the development of the Core Module 3 and CM Protegé automation platforms which are still in production today.

Bob started his career at Applied Materials where he worked on both the Endura and Endura II PVD platforms.

His expertise includes a strong foundation in engineering fundamentals including statics, dynamics, materials, heat transfer, and fluids.  He earned a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering from Cornell University and and is named inventor on 27 patents.
